In our house, I try to (almost) always have an egg bake made and in the fridge. This makes it easier for us to start the day with a great meal that’s packed with protein.
A friend introduced me to an egg bake recipe that included cottage cheese, and it’s changed the way I make egg bakes ever since.

Here’s what you need:
- Eggs
- Cottage cheese
- Shredded cheese
- Meat of choice, cooked (For example: 1 lb. ground beef, 1 lb. breakfast sausage, 1 package of bacon OR a combination of all 3)Â
*****(Bacon is my favorite in this recipe. I like to bake my bacon on a cookie pan, for 12-15 minutes in the oven at 425 degrees. Then chop it up into tiny pieces. Tyler enjoys this recipe with ground breakfast sausage and bacon. The options are truly endless and it’s so good every time, no matter what you use).
Here’s how we make it:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Cook your meat of choice
- In a blender, blend the eggs and cottage cheese
- Pour the egg and cottage cheese mixture into a 9×13 baking dish (or two pie dishes like I used in the photo above)
- Mix in the cheese and meat of choice to your baking dish
- Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes (or until the top is golden and eggs are cooked to your liking)
- Enjoy!
