Most ice creams include a long list of unnecessary ingredients, like: MILKFAT AND NONFAT MILK, SUGAR, CORN SYRUP, WHEY, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, CONTAINS LESS THAN 2% OF NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, MONO AND DIGLYCERIDES, GUAR GUM, CALCIUM SULFATE, CAROB BEAN GUM ANNATTO (COLOR), CARRAGEENAN.
Our ice cream includes: whole milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, pure maple syrup and egg yolks.
The best part… YOU DON’T NEED AN ICE CREAM MAKER!
I blend everything in my blender and freeze! Having healthy, delicious ice cream at home has never been easier!

What you’ll need to make this ice cream:
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 cups heavy cream (Kalona SuperNatural is my favorite!)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup pure maple syrup
- 6 egg yolks
How to make it:
- Mix all ingredients in the blender
- Pour into freezer safe container and freeze
- Stir every few hours until completely frozen. It usually takes 15-20 hours to be completely frozen
- Enjoy!!
We make this recipe on repeat in our house! Not only is it a much healthier ice cream option, but the taste far exceeds store bought ice cream! The boys tell me that this ice cream is “better than the stores”!

Note
I like to make it and place it in the freezer right before bed. Then I stir it first thing in the morning. This way, it's ready to enjoy by that afternoon/evening! :)
